The Invisible Crowd

The first time I visited an Orthodox Church I was stunned by the sense of the Angels and Saints that seemed gathered there invisibly. I could feel them and the air seemed rich with their presence.

I decided right then that this Church was for me. I didn’t know how that would work as I lived in a different city. That was the last day that particular church was in existence. They had been using a building on the property of a woman who had died a few weeks previously. That was my first experience of Orthodoxy and it made a lasting and decisive imprint on my becoming Orthodox.
